The Dunwich Horror is the 1970 cult adaptation of the classic short story by horror icon H. P. Lovecraft (Re-Animator), directed by Daniel Haller (Die, Monster, Die!, Devil's Angel). Wilbur Whateley (Dean Stockwell, Blue Velvet, The Langoliers) and his stillborn twin brother were born over twenty years ago under mysterious circumstances that left their mother hopelessly insane. Now Wilbur has traveled to stately Miskatonic University to study the Necronomicon (an ancient volume of obscene occult rituals) and pick up hot chicks like Nancy Wagner (Sandra Dee). He lures her out to his home in Dunwich, sabotages her car, and keeps her dosed up on some kind of mystical roofies while planning to use her in a ritual that will summon Yog Sothoth and the Elder Gods, and condemn all humanity to a living hell. Meanwhile, Professor Armitage (Ed Begley) and librarian Elizabeth have noticed that Nancy's gone missing, and they've got their suspicions about Wilbur. In their investigation, they uncover dark secrets about Wilbur and his twin's true parentage, and deduce Wilbur's plan in time to race towards the final confrontation of Good and Evil!moreless
