2006
Rating:

The Fall is directed by Tarsem Singh (The Cell) and stars Lee Pace, Catinca Untaru and Justine Waddell. It is an epic fantasy about a bedridden injured stuntman Roy Walker (Lee Pace) in a hospital on the outskirts of Los Angeles circa 1920s. Roy finds a note written by a little immigrant girl named Alexandria (Catinca Untaru) that landed on his bed that the wind carried in through the window. Alexandria who is also a young patient at the hospital recovering from a fall runs into Roy Walker's room wanting her note back and so begins their friendship. Roy promises to tell her a wonderful fantasy of epic proportions if she will return the next day. Roy's fanciful story enchants Alexandria's imagination as she starts to imagine Roy's characters from the story come to life. Roy begins to include Alexandria's family and people she likes from the hospital into his out of this world tale to keep the little girl interested in his story all while blurring the line between fiction and reality.moreless
