The Family Man is a comedic drama film directed by Brett Ratner that centers on one man, Jack Campbell (Nicolas Cage) when he is given the chance to see what life would have been like if he made changed one important decision in his life over thirteen years ago. Jack had it all ' a penthouse, a successful career as a Wall Street executive, and no real responsibilities beyond his work. When he manages to avert a disaster in a local convenience store with a guy named Cash (Don Cheadle), Jack wakes the next morning to discover his entire world is not as it was the night before. His penthouse is now a house in New Jersey, his job is now that of a tire salesman, and his responsibilities involve a wife and two children. It seems that thanks to Cash, Jack is experiencing what his life would have been like if he chose love over his career. Initially distraught by what he lost, he slowly begins to see the joys of the family life, falling in love with not only Kate but his son (Jake and Ryan Milkovich) and daughter (Makenzie Vega).
