The Far Side of Jericho is a western action film following three women as they fight to protect their lives. Maxine (Suzanne Andrews), Claire (Judith Burnett), and Bridget Thornton (Lissa Negrin) have just seen their husbands captured and hanged for their string of bank robberies across the territory. Now, everyone wants to find where the brothers buried all the loot they managed to get away with, and they think the wives have the answer. The women are pursued by the vigilantes led by corrupt sheriff Jake (Patrick Bergin), a preacher bent on revenge (James Gammon), a tribe of hostile Indians and Pinkerton Detective Agency men. In order to survive and escape to a new life with the treasure, the women will have to learn to trust each other and be prepared to kill for one another. The 2006 film was directed by Tim Hunter and written by Rob Sullivan and James Crumley.
