The Fast Lady is a slapstick farce about a cyclist who tries his hand at driving to impress a certain young lady. While enjoying a nice ride, devoted cyclist'Murdoch Troon (Stanley Baxter) is run off the road by an arrogant and inattentive driver. He tracks down the culprit, a wealthy and aloof tycoon named Charles Chingford (James Robertson). Just as Troon is giving the wealthy speedster a piece of his mind, he is distracted by Chingford's stunning daughter, Claire (Julie Christie). The two hit it off, but when Claire explains that she wants a man to drive a 4 wheeler, Murdoch realizes his cycling days might be over. Determined to land Chingford's hot daughter, Murdoch enlists used car salesman friend Freddie Fox (Leslie Phillips) to teach him to drive, under one condition; he has to buy the famous 1927 Bentley known as The Fast Lady.'Ken Annakin directs this goofy ride filled to the brim with veteran British comedy actors.'
