The Favor, the Watch and the Very Big Fish is a comedy based on the novel by French writer, Marcel Aym''. This is the story of Louis Aubinar (Bob Hoskins), a humble photographer who specialized in religious pictures. He works for Norbert (Michel Blanc), a famous religious articles curator, whose project is to create a series of pictures of all the Saints. Louis may eventually be fired if he does not succeed in finding a model for Jesus. As a favor for a friend, he performs a voice track for a pornographic movie with the gorgeous Sybil (Natasha Richardson). She is impressed by his vocal performance and they become close. She tells Louis the unfortunate story of her last relationship with a passionate pianist (Jeff Goldblum). When Louis meets him, he persuades him to be his model for Jesus. These pictures with the pianist will soon be of great importance for Louis's career.
