The Fluffer is an independent film released in 2001. The film centers around Sean McGinnis (Michael Cunio), a gay film student who spends his time watching rented movies. One day he rents what he thinks is Citizen Kane, but turns out to be a gay pornography film. Sean becomes obsessed with the film's star Johnny Rebel (Scott Gurney). In order to get close to him, Sean gets a job on the set of Johnny's newest film. Sean becomes a fluffer, a person who performs oral sex on an adult film star to prepare him for the actual act on film. Sean finds out that Johnny is not gay in real life and that Johnny has a girlfriend named Julie (Roxanne Day). Eventually, Julie breaks up with Johnny, causing him to become a crystal meth addict. When Johnny's company manager Chad Cox (Robert Walden) is murdered, police suspect Johnny is the killer. Johnny asks for Sean's help and the two flee to Mexico. What happens next is a series of dramatic events that changes the lives of many people.
