The Frog Prince is a 1986 children's musical based on the Brothers Grimm fairy tale, "The Frog King." The story revolves around the awkward and unrefined Princess Zora (Aileen Quinn) who has just learned from her father, King William (Clive Revill), that she may not be a real princess. Both Zora and her sister, Princess Henrietta (Helen Hunt), were adopted as young children by the King and he can only choose one of them to inherit his throne. Convinced that she will never be chosen as the real princess, Zora becomes immediately distraught and seeks solitude by the ponds on the castle grounds. While there, she meets a walking and talking frog named Ribbit (John Paragon). Zora finds that she is able to share her feelings with Ribbit and the two quickly become best friends. Ribbit teaches Zora what it means to be special and shows her how to be a princess. However, the selfish Henrietta is jealous of Zora's extraordinary friend and her new-found confidence. Henrietta becomes determined to get rid of Ribbit so she can secure her place as princess.moreless
