The Ghost is a 1963 Italian horror film directed by Riccardo Freda. The film is set in Scotland in the early 1900s and follows the sick and wheelchair bound Doctor John Hichcock (played by Elio Jotta). The doctor's death is being hurried on by his beautiful and much younger wife Margaret (played by the famous cult horror actress Barbara Steele) and her lover, the handsome doctor Charles Livingstone (played by Peter Baldwin). Margaret and Charles poison Hichcock and he dies. However Margaret and Charles then can't find the fortune that Hichcock should have kept stashed in his safe. So they search the grounds hunting for the missing fortune. Meanwhile Hichcock's ghost seemingly returns to haunt Margaret and Charles and it drives them to paranoia, madness and more murder...
