The Ghost Train is a 1941 comedy horror film about a group of British train passengers stranded at a haunted railway station. When travelers arrive late to a station where they plan to transfer to Truro, stationmaster Saul Hodgkin (Herbert Lomas) informs them that the next train does not leave until the following morning. The passengers want to wait in the station overnight, but Saul is reluctant to let them stay. He tells the tragic story of an accident that killed passengers leaving from the station 43 years earlier and warns of a ghost train rumored to kill anyone who sees it. The group tries to make the best of their night, but strange events begin to disturb them, starting with Saul's sudden death and the appearance of a mysterious woman. Passenger Julia (Linden Travers) insists that everyone must flee the station before the haunted train, whose whistle can be heard in the distance, arrives. Before the night is over, the travelers learn that not all is as it seems.moreless
