The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest is a 2009 Swedish film based on the very popular book of the same name by Stieg Larsson and directed by Daniel Alfredson. The film stars Michael Nyqvist and Noomi Rapace and was written by Ulf Rydberg and Jonas Frykberg along with Stieg Larsson. The detective team is back and they are solving one of the biggest mysteries that they have ever come up against. The previous films, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and The Girl Who Played with Fire also center around the magazine Millennium, where Mikael Blomkvist (Michael Nyqvist) works as a reporter. Daniel Alfredson is also the same director as the previous films. One of the biggest revelations in this film is Lisbeth's father coming back into the picture and her subsequent trial. The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest completes the Millennium trilogy and the film is set to be released as an American film as well.
