The Godfather of Greenbay is a 2005 comedy written and directed by Pete Schwaba. Joe Keegan (Pete Schwaba) is a veteran comedian. After 15 years of performing stand-up comedy, he's blown every big break and opportunity ever given to him. His best friend, Kenny (Lance Barber), tells Joe that he can get him on the Tonight Show, but the catch is, Joe has to travel to the small town of Pine Lake, Wisconsin for the audition because that is where talent scout, Harvey Skorik will be looking for new talent. Once in Pine Lake, Joe bombs on his first night thanks to the MC, Dug (Thomas Lennon). Joe begins to feel better when he meets up with his beautiful high school English teacher, Molly Mahoney (Lauren Holly). Molly, freshly divorced, tries to inspire Joe to do his best. Joe faces the toughest crowd of his career when he has to do his routine in front of a rambunctious group of Packers fans, deer hunters, and the popular high school jock, Jake Norquist (Tony Goldwyn) who is a former football star turned mobster who is also sweet on Molly.moreless
