The Greek Labyrinth is a thriller film directed by Rafael Alcazar based on the novel of the same name by Manuel Vazquez Montalban that centers on Bernadette (Aitana Sanchez-Gijon), a young and passionate woman as she seeks out her lover, Alekos (Luis Fernando Alves), a hunky Greek dancer who left her in Paris without a word. When she discovers he has taken refuge in Barcelona, Bernadette and her ex-boyfriend Jacques (Eusebio Poncela) hires a private investigator, Juan Bardon (Omero Antonutti), to discover why he Alekos disappeared in the first place. As Bardon pushes aside his own issues with his life, including a daughter (Penelope Cruz) destructively seeking out older men, to continue his investigation, it seems Alekos was involved in a far more dangerous world than Bernadette ever expected. When the investigation ultimately finds the Greek dancer dead, Bardon realizes his connections with Bernadette have led him to be the prime suspect. It seems that what was supposed to be a simple missing person case has turned into a dark and deadly mystery with a number of twists and turns.moreless
