The Hall Monitor is a dark comedy that satirically comments on the violent and overzealous nature of American society. The main character, Dan Kashwood (Dan Frome), rules the halls of Rocky Mountain High School with an iron fist. Dan represents the average person looking for justice and acceptance. With his .44 magnum revolver Dan keeps the students of his school in check while searching for the rogue murderer that has been killing off members of the high school football team, the Rocky Mountain Carrots. The main conflict of this film is enhanced by the big upcoming football game. Dan must find and expose, or dispose, of the murderer before the big game to save his football team and become the school's hero. The film has an abundant amount of humor and sexual content. While being a dark comedy, The Hall Monitor keeps it light with plenty of nudity and high school hijinks.
