The Hard Ride is a 1971 feature film directed by Burt Topper. The plot begins with the death of a soldier in Vietnam and his friend's commitment to filling out his last will and testament. The friend, Phil (Robert Fuller), is under instructions to take care of "Baby," which later turns out to be the late friend's motorcycle. Phil remains committed to his friend's wishes, even when he learns that the motorcycle is meant to be given to the head of a notorious biker gang, Big Red (Tony Russel). Phil enlists his late friend's girlfriend, Sheryl (Sherry Bain), and sets out to locate Big Red and his gang. This puts him in direct conflict with a rival gang that also has its eyes set on retrieving the motorcycle. Phil and Sheryl evade the police among other dangers to find Big Red, only to find that Big Red is interested in Sheryl and to have the motorcycle stolen by Grady (William Bonner), the head of the rival gang.
