The Haunting In Connecticut is a 2009 horror film directed by Peter Cornwell and based on actual events. The Campbell family has struggled lately. The oldest son, Matthew (Kyle Gallner), is undergoing treatments for cancer. Since the family lives so far from the hospital, the frequent rides are difficult for both Matthew and his mother, Sarah (Virginia Madsen). The whole family breathes a sigh of relief when they find a beautiful Victorian home within easy driving distance of the hospital, making life a little easier for everybody. The entire family moves in, including Matthew's father, Peter (Martin Donovan), and his brother, Billy (Ty Wood). Matthew begins to wonder about the strange events surrounding the house. The Campbells were able to get the house so easily because of its disturbing past, and Matthew starts to be plagued by odd visions and bizarre behaviors. Thinking their son is struggling with his new cancer medication, Sarah and Peter try to assuage his fears. Soon, however, dark secrets come to light that may change their lives forever.moreless
