The Haunting of Molly Hartley is a supernatural horror film about a young girl who is tortured by the memory of her insane mother. Seventeen year old Molly Hartley (Haley Bennett) appears to many to be a normal girl who lives with her father Robert (Jake Weber) and is trying to get used to a new school. But the young teen is tormented, day and night, by the memory of the night her mother (Marin Hinkle) stabbed her with a pair of scissors. As she nears her 18th birthday, the terror increases rapidly, prompting Molly to find out the truth. She is told that her parents made a pact with the devil to save her life, leaving her to him upon her 18th birthday. Scared and confused, Molly asks classmate Joseph (Chace Crawford) to help her, but at this point nothing is what it seems. In a frightening look into deviance and darkness, Molly must make a horrifying decision in order to save her own life. Mickey Liddell directs this chilling look at an age old theme, full of pretty people and haunting camera work.moreless
