The Hebrew Hammer is a comedy film that centers on one man's journey to stop Santa's son from ending Hanukkah. The film begins with a scene from the youth of Mordechai Jefferson Carver (Adam Goldberg). As the only Jewish child in a Christian school, Mordechai is bothered by his teachers and fellow students for not celebrating Christmas. One day, while walking down the street, he sees Christmas decorations displayed in people's homes and becomes depressed. He lies down on the sidewalk to spin his dreidel when Santa Claus (Richard Riehle) walks by and steps on his toy. Years later, Moredechai is a retired captain of the Israeli Defense forces and has now dedicated his life to helping Jews. Santa is murdered and is replaced by his son, Damian (Andy Dick), whose goal is to end Hanukkah. Mordechai is called upon to stop the evil doings of Damian and to restore peace for Jews around the world.
