The Hillside Stranglers is a 2004 crime thriller about the infamous killing spree in Los Angeles, California between October 1977 and February 1978. Cousins Angelo Buono (Nicholas Turturro) and Kenneth Bianchi (C. Thomas Howell) murdered 10 women and dumped their bodies in the hills surrounding the city. Bianchi originally dreamed of being a police officer, but when he fails to pass the entrance exams, he joins his cousin in petty crimes. They try running a prostitution ring by luring aspiring actresses into "modeling contracts" then forcing them into sex work. When another pimp closes down their business, the men kill a prostitute as a revenge move. They discover an unexpected thrill when killing, and begin hunting down prostitutes and single women. They rape and torture their victims before disposing of them like trash before the L.A.P.D. finally cracks the case. The graphic violence and sexual content makes this film best suited to mature viewers.
