The Honeymooners is a compilation of episodes from the TV series of the same name that aired from 1953 to 1956. The Honeymooners is a story of two couples who struggle to keep their marriage strong despite many obstacles. The husbands, Ralph Kramden (Jackie Gleason) and Ed Norton (Art Carney), and their get-rich-quick schemes are the biggest problems in their marriages. Their wives, Alice Kramden (Audrey Meadows) and Trixie Norton (Joyce Randolph), try to be patient and understanding but are tired of being denied their dreams. Bus driver Ralph Kramden finally saves enough money to buy a home for his wife in Brooklyn, but he decides instead to join his friend Ed Norton, a sewer worker, in yet another scheme to regain lost monies and make even more money. Their newest venture threatens not only their savings and dreams of buying homes for their wives, but also causes more trouble in their marriages. How will Ed and Ralph get out of their latest mess?
