The House on Garibaldi Street follows a team of Israeli secret agents in the 1960s on their quest to locate the World War II Nazi war criminal, Adolf Eichmann (Alfred Burke). Eichmann, infamous as a key architect in the design of the final solution, is rumored to have escaped death in the war and fled to South America. When word reaches the Israeli special intelligence agency that Eichmann may be hiding out in Argentina, the squad is deployed to smuggle him back to Israel so that he can stand trial for the crimes he committed during the war. Isser Harel (Martin Balsam) sets out to lead the team in apprehending the man responsible for millions of deaths and the blueprints for the Nazis foremost killing machine. This made-for-TV drama is based on the true story of Eichmann's capture as depicted in the book written by Isser Harel: The House on Garibaldi Street.
