The House That Screamed is a horror film about a writer that moves into a reportedly haunted house to find inspiration for his latest book. Newly widowed author of horror novels Marty Beck (Bob Dennis) is in the market for a change of pace, after a fire that took the life of his wife and child. So he decides to rent and move into the supposedly haunted house on Wingate Road, hoping to experience any kind of scare or mysterious phenomena that would help him write a truly terrifying book. But the famous abode, the site of a woman's suicide years earlier, proves to be a much more spooky building than Beck had previously planned; as his story on the pages develops, the one in real life, all around him, keeps getting more frightening. And with a growing number of ruthless ghosts haunting his poorly chosen workspace, the author may have all he can handle to make it out alive. John and Mark Polonia direct this classic low budget fright fest about a terrifying reality.moreless
