The Imitators is a 1996 British comedy film about a group of bumbling, inept bank robbers who are offered a bank job by a big time gangster boss. The movie features Gary Beadle, Pancho Russell, John Bushnell, Frances Lima, Saltz, and David Doyle. The bumbling crooks decide to take on the bank job, however they are in need of a getaway driver. Rock (Beadle) takes in his friend Kevin (Doyle), who is also an aimless drifter. In order to pay back Rock's kindness, Kevin offers his services as the group's getaway driver. Since Kevin can't drive, it's up to Rock to teach him. What follows is a series of uproariously funny moments as Rock and Kevin begin to wear on each other's nerves. Like most British comedies, The Imitators is rife with satirical, dark humor. The movie was a European box office sensation and won the Best Film Award at the 1996 Film Fest in Gijon, Spain.
