The Indian Fighter is a 1955 western film directed by André de Toth, which revolves around the adventures and love affairs of a scout who tries to deal with angry Indians on their lands. Johnny Hawks (Kirk Douglas) is a brave scout who is assigned the mission of escorting a train full of merchandise across the territory that belongs to hostile Sioux Indians. He succeeds in making a peaceful deal with one of their leaders, Red Cloud (Eduard Franz). However, Johnny's passion for the Indian chief's beautiful daughter, Onahti (Elsa Martinelli), catches him off guard and makes him lose his head. Matters are further complicated by a few agitated partners, who don't agree to make a treaty with the Indians, and instead intend to steal their gold. Sioux Indians are determined to retaliate in response to the deal being broken, and now Johnny must find a way to protect the merchandise and his love for the Indian woman.
