The Intruder is a 1933 feature film directed by Albert Ray. It is a mystery film about a murder that happens on a cruise ship. The captain of the ship begins an investigation, but it is quickly taken over by a police officer from San Francisco, Detective Samson (William Davidson). Unfortunately, the ship promptly sinks, forcing the tourists to flee to a nearby jungle island. The situation was already tense with one murder, but it gets worse on the jungle island. It turns out one of the passengers was blackmailing the father of one girl, Connie (Lila Wayne), and that she was once married to the valet, Carlo (Sidney Bracey). As the relationships get more complex, Connie and her friend Daisy (Gwen Lee) are kidnapped and then are saved by John Brandt (Monte Blue) who falls in love with Connie. Even when they are all rescued by a French ship, there are still a few puzzles left to solve as they float back toward civilization.moreless
