Journeyman is a 2001 western that tells the story of two young brothers separated during childhood and whose paths meet again as adults. In the film, two thugs, Charlie Ledbetter (Barry Corbin) and Horace Merrywell (Arie Verveen), go to the ranch of Samuel Hancock (Willie Nelson) to steal from him. The two end up brutally killing Samuel, while his two young grandsons watch. The oldest grandson (Brad Hunt) tries to defend the ranch, but instead the men burn it to the ground and kidnap the grandson. The younger grandson (Daniel Lapaine) stays hidden and the men never find him. The older grandson comes to be known as the Morphanist and becomes a hard, angry man due to the years of torture his kidnappers put him through. The younger grandson comes to be known as the Journeyman and is calm and quiet because he was raised by a Mexican minister, who found him after he was abandoned. The Morphanist is dying but wants to seek revenge on the men who killed his grandfather and beat him. As he is on his way to find the men, his younger brother, The Journeyman, wants to find his older brother to restore his soul before he dies.moreless
