The Juror is a 1996 crime drama starring Demi Moore and Alec Baldwin in an adaptation of the John Grisham bestseller. New York single mom Annie Laird (Demi Moore) gets placed on a high-profile mafia murder trial for Louie Boffano (Tony Lo Bianco). Annie thinks the case will be an exciting contrast to her data entry job and raising a teenager, Oliver (Joseph Gordon-Levitt). Then, Mark Cordell (Alec Baldwin) enters her life. After buying some of her sculptures, he charms her into a dinner date, where he reveals his true intentions. Mark works as an enforcer for Boffano and unless Annie casts a not guilty verdict, he will have to kill her son. A terrified Annie follows orders, and convinces the other jury members of Boffano's innocence. When suspicions about the verdict lead to a new investigation, Boffano wants Annie permanently silenced but this time Mark wants to save her. Brian Gibson ("What's Love Got to Do with It") directs this suspenseful drama.moreless
