The Kid From Left field is a heartwarming story of a father's dream being passed down to his son. Coop (Dan Dailey) is an ex-ball player who has lost his chance playing in the big league. Now he is a peanut vendor at a ballpark where a struggling major league team plays. Coop is still very interested in the game. He loves the game and tries to pass on his love for the game to his son, Christie (Billy Chapin) and loses his job because he is sneaking his son into too many games. After his dad is fired, Chris makes friends with the former team owner's niece so he can try to get his dad's job back and so he can get the batboy position. With his dad's help, Chris gets their attention and is appointed as the youngest manager ever. Then things take a turn for the worse when Chris gets sick. Now his dad needs to help and take over his position as manager. Now will Coop be able to lead the team to a win and will he be able to keep the job?moreless
