The Killer Elite, directed by Sam Peckinpah, is a spy thriller with enough twists and double agents to keep everyone guessing. Mike Locken (James Caan) and George Hansen (Robert Duvall) are hardened mercenaries working for a spy-for-hire outfit known as The Killer Elite. The two friends are hired by the CIA to foil an assassination plot when Hansen reveals himself to be the assassin. Hansen takes down his man and Locken takes two of Hansen's bullets in the process. After years of physical therapy and intense martial-arts training, Locken recovers from his injuries and seeks revenge. He finds out that Hansen is still at large as a professional hitman and, through his contacts at the CIA, learns that Hansen's next target is a Yuen Chung (Mako), an Asian diplomat. Locken gets himself back in the game as Chung's bodyguard, but Hansen is not the only double agent in this twisted tale of rivalry and political intrigue.
