The Killing Time begins with the brutal murder of a would-be deputy sheriff on his way to the town in which he was begin a new life. The murderer (Kiefer Sutherland) assumes the identity of the unfortunate deputy and continues on to the quiet coastal community to begin the life his victim was about to start. The stranger finds a little bit more than he bargained for in the sleepy California town when it becomes known that his boss, the local sheriff (Beau Bridges), and his lover (Camelia Kath) have their own plans for the new deputy. The sheriff had plotted to murder his lover's husband (Wayne Rogers) and pin the killing on the newcomer. Directed by Rick King, this sexy noir thriller pits the scheming lovers against the heartless psychopath in a battle of mystery and intrigue where no one is to be trusted, and no one is safe.
