The Last Escape is a World War II film directed by Walter Gruman. The film revolves around a British military unit led by an American, Captain Lee Mitchell (Stuart Whitman). The squadron enters a top secret German rocket base toward the end of the war, to capture the brilliant scientist Dr. von Heinken (Pinkas Braun), from the facility to take him out of Germany. The Russians want Dr. von Heinken for their own purposes and Captain Lee must turn a bunch of inexperienced soldiers into a solid group before the Russian squadrons arrive and invade Munich, Germany. Along the way, the group also helps out refugees who are on the run from the Nazis. When the Russians arrive, a fierce battle takes place. In order to survive this dangerous mission, with Dr. von Heinken intact, the group has to work together to try and evade the Soviets and the Nazis.
