The Last Hand (After the Game) is a gritty tale centered around a man who becomes increasingly intrigued by the obscure world of gambling his father plays a part in. The 1997 film was written and directed by Brewster MacWilliams and stars Robert Dubac (Loving, The Rookie), Hudson Leick (Chill Factor, Unconditional, Primal) and Stanley DeSantis (The Aviator, Boogie Nights, I Am Sam). Clyde's (Robert Dubac) father is an overly enthusiastic gambler who never hits the jackpot. After years of unsuccessful rounds, Clyde's father finally wins big money. But just as he begins to bask in celebration he is unfortunately killed in a car accident. Clyde immediately arrives at the scene of his fathers death to investigate the reasons behind his accidental murder. As he speculates the area, he finds himself drawn into the luring world his father was once so obsessed with. Brace yourself for several intriguing plot twists in this whirling Lynchian-esque film.
