The Last Kennedy is a 2003 drama written and directed by Richard Culver that centers around the political controversy surrounding the election of the first African-American President. Reverend Franklin Kennedy (Lynn Merrill) achieves widespread popularity across the nation and is about to be elected President of the United States. The secret services led by CIA undercover officers create a conspiracy whose purpose is to prevent Kennedy from becoming the leader of the nation. They use manipulation and psychological pressure to convince Walter Lee Fitzgerald (Richard Culver) and his wife Linda (Darla Rothman) that it is in the best interest of the American nation to remove Kennedy from the election race. Brainwashed by the CIA professionals, Walter and Linda are the leaders of a task group that succeeds in assassination of the presidential candidate. As Kennedy's daughter, Estelle (Teddi Haynes), reveals her sorrow and grief provoked by her father's death, Linda realizes that nothing useful has been accomplished and that the mind manipulations convinced her to believe in wrong ideas.moreless
