The Last Man On Earth (In Color) is a 1964 science fiction/horror movie directed by Ubaldo Ragona and Sidney Salkow. It is an adaptation of Richard Matheson's popular 1954 novel I am Legend. After a plague turns both humans and animals into undead, bloodthirsty vampires, Dr. Robert Morgan (Vincent Price), who is mysteriously immune to the virus, is the lone survivor. Since the vampires are allergic to sunlight, Robert heads out each day to find their hidden resting places and to slay them by putting stakes through their hearts. During the nights, he barricades himself in his house as the vampires continually attempt to break in and kill him. One day, Robert is shocked to see a beautiful woman named Ruth Collins (Franca Bettoia) walking around in the sunlight. Although lonely Robert is pleased to find another uninfected human, he soon begins to suspect that Ruth is not who she seems to be.
