The Last Siege

Movie Summary

Director:
Worth Keeter
Released:
1999
Rating:
R

The Last Siege, also known as Hijack, is a take it as it comes action movie; a classic "don't read too much into it" type of movie that has good guys versus bad guys and things get blown up. Ernie Hudson plays Douglas Wilson, an anti-gun Senator who is campaigning for unrestricted Federal gun control. A militia group hijacks the Senator's train with big plans and the ultimate goal of using a nuclear device to spread destruction across southern California. Of course, the militia leader's long-time nemesis, ATF agent Eddie Lyman (Jeff Fahey) who was suspended from the ATF for an over-zealous raid on the militia compound, just happens to be on the train. This creates the added tension among Lyman and his fellow agents once the bullets start flying. With some explosive action, some unbelievable scenarios and the presence of good versus bad, The Last Siege has some excellent entertainment value.
