The Law Vs. Billy the Kid is a classic western adventure movie from the 1950s. The film begins as Billy the Kid (Scott Brady) has recently been cheated out of his wages and he and his friend, Pat (James Griffith), wander aimlessly in search of employment. The duo ultimately stumbles upon John Tunstall's (Paul Cavanagh) ranch, and the fun begins. All is well until a member of the sheriff's posse murders John. Billy swears revenge for the death of his friend and goes on a bloody rampage. Although Billy eventually reforms for his sweetheart, Tunstall's niece Nita (Betta St. John), he continues to be pursued by the new sheriff, Pat, who reluctantly chases his old pal. The movie is full of exciting and suspenseful moments that will captivate the audience. Pat ultimately catches up with his old friend in a classic movie shoot-out. William Castle directs the seventy-two minute film.
