The Lawless Frontier is a 1934 western directed by R.N. Bradbury. In order to get his clutches on the gold mines within rancher Dusty's land (George Hayes), ruthless Zanti (Earl Dwire) hatches a plot to murder him. Since Dusty knows about the plan, he decides to run away with his beautiful daughter Ruby (Sheila Terry), whom Zanti wants to forcibly marry. As they are running away from the banker, they meet John Tobin (John Wayne) when he saves Ruby from drowning in a river. They learn that Zanti murdered John's parents eight years ago, and John is currently looking for him to seek revenge. With John by their side, Dusty and Ruby decide to go back to their ranch and confront the thug. Although John's plan is to get the sheriff to arrest Zanti, he tries to thwart him by hatching another evil plan to frame John for a crime that he did not commit.
