The Lazarus Project, otherwise known as The Heaven Project, is a psychological thriller written and directed by John Patrick Glenn. The film centers around a pardoned ex-con man named Ben (Paul Walker) who is making every effort to remake his life. Ben lives as an honest man with a paid position, a beautiful wife (Piper Perabo), and a little daughter. When his employer clues in to his fraudulent past, he fires Ben from the job. Feeling ostracized and hopeless, Ben joins his shady brother in a last-minute heist scheme, which he promises is the last wrong thing he'll ever do. But unfortunately for Ben, the burglary goes awry, and several people are killed in the process. Ben is placed on death row as punishment. As he literally waits for a lethal injection, he is suddenly transcended to another reality where he lives in a psychiatric ward. The only person who can counsel him in his new environment is beautiful psychiatrist (Linda Cardellini). A one of a kind film definitely worth watching!moreless
