The Legend of Drunken Master is a 1994 Hong Kong martial arts film and the sequel to the popular 1978 film Drunken Master. Jackie Chan plays the Chinese folk hero Wong Fei Hung, a legendary martial artist from ancient China. Wong Fei Hung is a mischievous young man. He’s filled with pride and the desire for honor, but he often makes mistakes in his daily life that cause him to lose face in public. Despite his shortcomings, he’s a highly capable martial artist, a skill that’s put to the test when representatives of the British consul begin stealing ancient artifacts and shipping them out of the country. Wong Fei Hung accidentally discovers that drinking alcohol greatly increases his fighting power. When he over-relies on his newfound ability, however, he becomes drunk and sluggish, causing him to lose fights and be publicly embarrassed.
