The Legend of Lobo (1962), narrated by Rex Allen, is a family adventure about a wolf named Lobo and his family. The film follows Lobo from his curious and playful youth, as he tumbles into danger and adventure, to his adulthood, full of responsibility and hazard. As a young pup, his parents teach him how to survive in the American Southwest, even in the face of cougars, cliffs, and humans. As Lobo grows into adolescence, he begins to hunt with his family, but instead of hunting buffalo, they make the mistake of attacking the cattlemen's cattle. In retaliation, the cattlemen decide to take revenge on the wolves and kill most of Lobo's family. After some time spent alone, Lobo finds a new pack, challenges the leader, and takes a mate. Lobo and his new pack continue, however, to take advantage of the cattle and the cattlemen's land. As a result, Lobo has bounty put on his head and he and his new family must do what they can to avoid being trapped or killed.moreless
