The Libertine is a raw, sexy comedy about a young widow who uncovers her late husband's kinky pastime and decides to take part in it herself. When Mimi (Catherine Spaak) is sorting through her recently deceased husband's estate, she discovers that he had been keeping a secret apartment for satisfying his unusual sexual desires. Taken aback by her husband's secret and wishing to understand why he did not share his sexual fantasies with her, Mimi embarks on a mission to understand her own sexuality and perversions with the help of his former apartment. However, after Mimi seduces a long string of men to explore all of the facets of her kinks, she finds herself lost in the passions of sex and begins to lose touch with her own identity. It's only after meeting a man that embraces her every facet that Mimi seeks an escape from her whirlwind of meaningless romance. The Libertine is a hilarious tale of sex, love, and the surprising secrets we keep from the ones closest to us.moreless
