The Limey is a 1999 drama directed by Steven Soderbergh. The film follows the story of ex-convict Wilson (Terrence Stamp) as he investigates the untimely death of his young daughter, Jenny (Melissa George). The Limey opens with Wilson being released from the British prison where he served a nine-year sentence for armed robbery. He immediately sets out for Los Angeles, where Jenny apparently died in a car accident. He meets Jenny's friends Eduardo (Luis Guzman) and Elaine (Lesley Ann Warren). They provide him with some clues as to who could have been behind the accident, which leads him to Jenny's boyfriend, Terry Valentine (Peter Fonda). Wilson discovers that Valentine is involved in a drug trafficking operation. Valentine has Wilson beaten when he is discovered investigating a warehouse used in the drug operation. Wilson returns to the warehouse and kills all but one of Valentine's men, who sends to warn Valentine that he is coming. Wilson ventures deeper into the investigation and begins to realize the depth of Valentine's criminal involvement.moreless
