"The Little Drummer Boy" has seemed to have stood the test of time as well as the Christmas song that it is based upon. It's a Christmas special that will definitely tug at your heart strings and will surely put a smile on your face. The story is actually very well written about a boy who in a time of need, puts his feeling of burning hatred aside to help those he truly loves. The story does not seem contrived at all which adds to the show's appeal. There are even two songs along the way that are quite good. The final scene where Aaron plays a song for Jesus on his drum ends this show on just the right note. It was a tough task building a story around a song, but I think it's safe to say the producers of this program managed to get it right.moreless
