The Little Savage is a 1959 adventure film directed by Byron Kaskin and based on the novel written by Frederick Marryat, which tells the story of a pirate's treasure deal gone wrong. Captain Tiburon (Pedro Armendariz) and his partner Taursus (Rodolfo Hoyos) are two pirates who have just concluded a successful robbery, which resulted in a rich loot. They arrive on an isolated island to bury the treasure and return later when things settle down. However, greedy Taursus intends to keep the treasure for himself and shoots Tiburon, leaving him severely wounded and barely alive. Surprisingly, Tiburon manages to regain his health and embarks on a trip to explore the lonely island. He encounters the only inhabitant of the island, a boy named Frank (Terry Rangno), who soon becomes his friend and loyal ally. When Taursus returns back to claim his treasure, he is surprised to find resistance from two well-prepared island guards who are determined to fight any intruders.
