The Little Vampire is a 2000 comedy based on a children's fantasy book series by Angela Sommer-Bodenburg. When young Tony Thompson's (Johnathon Lipnicki) parents force him to move from California to Scotland, he is an outcast in his new school. The other children tease him, so Tony feels very lonely and misunderstood. When a bat flies into his bedroom and then transforms into a young boy, Tony realizes that he is face to face with a real vampire named Rudolph Sackville-Bagg (Rollo Weeks). The boys become quick friends when Tony saves Rudolph from a vampire hunter, Rookery (Jim Carter). Tony then meets Rudolph's vampire family, including his mother (Alice Krige), father (Richard E. Grant), sister, Anna (Anna Poppelwell), and brother, Gregory (Dean Cook). Soon, Tony finds himself on a quest to help the vampire clan find an amulet that holds the power to turn them human again. Evil Rookery, however, seeks the amulet for a different purpose, and he will do anything in his power to get it.moreless
