The Locusts is a 1997 comedy/drama film, which centers around Clay Hewitt (Vince Vaughn), a drifter who enters the town of Sealy, Kansas in hopes of financing a trip to see his brother in California. He almost immediately gets a job on a ranch, along with a place to live, from Delilah Potts (Kate Capshaw), a widow known for her desire of younger men. Meanwhile, Delilah's son Flyboy (Jeremy Davies) is released from a mental hospital. At first, Flyboy will only speak with his pet bull. With his friendliness and persistence, Clay tries to get Flyboy to open up. To help with Flyboy's shyness, he enlists the help of a local girl named Kitty (Ashley Judd), with whom he becomes close. Little do they know that Delilah has other plans for Flyboy. Once Flyboy comes out of his shell and begins speaking, a series of surprising events occur, leaving everyone in town shocked.
