The Long Day's Dying is an action drama movie set in World War II. The movie focuses on three lost British paratroopers struggling to find their way back to their regiment. Within the group of the three paratroopers are three privates with completely different personalities, Cliff (Tony Beckley), John (David Hemmings) and Tom (Tom Bell). The three soldiers' distinct personalities cause conflicts along the way as they try to receive further orders from their Sergeant. Along the way, they find and take a German officer hostage in order to try to achieve leverage in the situation. Their journey, however, takes them to terrible places, both physically and emotionally, as they come to be face-to-face with some of the more disturbing parts of war. Their loyalties and characters are tested by each other as well as the perils they face along the way, and in the end, they may never see war the same way again.
