The Lunatic, based on the book by Anthony C. Winkler, is a comedic tale from musician turned director Lol Creme. In a small town on the island paradise of Jamaica, Aloysius (Paul Cambell) has the reputation of being the village idiot. The locals are accustomed to seeing him wander about the town, talking to the cows, the trees, and pretty much anything else he comes across. What they do not know is that these things are actually communicating with Aloysius. Aloysius has a peaceful existence, if a misunderstood one, until the island town is visited by a German nymphomaniac, Inga Schmidt (Julie T. Wallace). She sees easy prey in Alosysius and uses sex appeal to control him. She concocts a plan to rob the home of a wealthy man in which Alosysius takes all the risk and she reaps all the rewards. However, she is in for a surprise when she realizes Alosysius' conversations with animals and inanimate objects are more than the ravings of a madman.moreless
