The Man From Laramie is an American Western starring James Stewart as Will Lockhart, a cowboy who gets caught up in the dangerous affairs of a ranching family in Coronado after bringing a shipment of supplies there from Laramie. The Waggoman family run a profitable business in Coronado. Amongst their several legal enterprises, popular opinion has it that they also sell guns to a local Native American tribe, guns that killed Will Lockhart's brother. The more time Lockhart spends in Coronado the harder it is for him to leave, as the scheming Waggoman family bait the traveling cowboy into a series of fights. He takes refuge at the estate of another local rancher, Kate Canady, who hopes the strong-willed cowboy will put an end to the Waggoman's reign once and for all. The Man From Laramie is a classic Western, and it's the fifth collaboration between Stewart and famed Western and film noir director Anthony Mann.
