The Man from London is a movie about a railway worker named Maloin (Miroslav Krobot) and a London police detective named Morrison (Istvn Lnrt). Maloin witnesses a horrific event while working one evening. The last ferry just arrives and passengers disembark, with two of them walking towards a dark corner. Some arguing and fighting goes on leaving one of them dead, sinking into the water with his briefcase. As Maloin leaves him room to head over to the scene, the murderer flees and Maloin retrieves the case. He ends up opening it and finds out that the case contains lots of money. In shock, he decides to keep the money for himself and not report it to the police. Eventually, Detective Morrison investigates the murder and searches for the missing money. Will he find it, or will Maloin forever hold onto it? Bela Tarr directs this adaptation of Georges Simenon's novel.
